Best Fall Essentials
1) Vitamins
Boost your immune system this fall and remember to take your vitamins!
Vitamins should be an important part of your routine at all times but are very important during fall. The colder the weather gets, you can easily contract colds or other issues that may challenge your immune system, so work with your body to prevent that and take your vitamins.
2) Teas
As the months get colder, tea is a great choice of drink to make you feel great. Even if you’re not a tea person, there are some great new flavors you can try to get into the fall spirit.
Some flavors that really scream fall are:
Cinnamon – Cinnamon tea is great for fighting off infections, reduces effects of inflammation, helps with pains, and is great for so much more. Cinnamon can also be a great addition to other teas when infused.
Turmeric – Tumeric is an amazing source of Vitamin C and B6 and is sure to boost your immune system.
Pumpkin spice – Pumpkin Spice anything is the trademark of fall and wouldn’t be the same without it, so take advantage of this time and have as many pumpkin spice foods and beverages.
Apple Cider – Apple Cider is another holy grail of fall and is also a great boost to the immune system and aids with digestion.
3) Candles
Candles are such a simple yet effective touch to enhance the atmosphere of your home. You can even try non-scented candles if fragrance affects you.
Candles are one of my favorite things to set a relaxing, cozy atmosphere. To top it off, fall scents are amazing all year around.
Adding some candles to your home this fall is a great touch for decoration and to make your home feel cozy and calm.
4) Journals
Investing in a journal will really help you connect with fall since the season is all about being thankful and changing. Hence fall is a great time to start journaling, practicing gratitude, and doing shadow work so you can be a better you in time for the upcoming New Year.
Journaling can also be a great way to relieve stress as it gives you an outlet to cope with your feelings in a healthy manner.
5) Moisturizers
The colder months can tend to have harsh effects on your skin so taking care of your skin throughout fall and winter is essential. The best way to do this is to stay moisturized.
Ensure that your face moisturizer is for dry skin and is extra hydrating. If you have oily skin like myself, then a great moisturizer is one that works for combination skin so it wouldn’t be too oily for your face.
There is a range of body moisturizers you can use such as body butter, lotions, or even essential oils. Besides moisturizing and nourishing the skin, some great benefits of body butter are antioxidants and vitamins, which can help prevent rashes. You can put essential oils in your moisturizer or use it on its own.
6)Planners
Planners are going to be your best friend! Fall is usually a very busy time and the only way you’re going to stay organized is by having a planner on hand. This is going to ensure that your life is together for this busy time.
7) Humidifier/Diffuser
This is a great addition for fall. The fall weather can make it harder to fall asleep and can even affect your sinuses.
Diffusers are a great way to keep you relaxed and help with sleeping.
8)Essential Oils
Essential oils are something you should always have in your home. You can use them for so many different things like putting them in your diffuser, smelling them, or even mixing them with your moisturizers. These are great at relieving stress and anxiety, improving sleep, and even killing bacteria.
9) Cozy Blankets
This is the best time to splurge on a nice blanket. Comfort is a pivotal part of fall and a blanket is such a great addition to enhance that.
This is the perfect thing for a Halloween movie marathon or a night under the stars.
10)Thick Leggings
Leggings should be one of your fall fashion staples. You can pair this with a turtle neck, white tee, and jean jacket for a more casual look.
For a chic look, this would look great with an oversized overcoat, and a pair of heels or boots.
There are so many outfit choices you have with leggings while still being comfortable and you can accessorize them based on the kind of look you’re aiming for.
11) Going to the Farmer’s market
Going to the farmer’s market should be an all-year-round activity. However, it is important in the fall because it can be really easy to just go to the grocery store and get unhealthy foods.
If you have health goals that you’re trying to stick to, then the best thing you can do is go to the farmer’s market and buy in season foods. You can also try making healthy fall dishes by substituting them with some of the in season foods such as pumpkin, squash, apples etc.
